Dr. Tomáš Hučko (Slovakia)
Dr. Tomáš Hučko graduated from the Department of documentary film VŠMU in Bratislava. Between 1984-1995 he worked as a director and literary manager at Slovak Television.
Since 1995 he has been an independent filmmaker and producer. He has directed among others: Erinnerungen für die Zukunft (2001), Parkan by the Danube (2002), All We Need is... (2004), Roma kupa (2005), Everybody to the Castle (2006), Times have Changed (2008), Before This Film Is Over (2009).
In the years 2007-2010 he taught the history of documentary at VŠMU, and is currently working at the Department of Media Communication at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava.
He has published articles in collective works in Slovakia and Poland, and in magazines Communication Today, Film a Doba, Kino-Ikon, Film-Pro, Images, daily SME et al.
Since 2013 he has been working as the manager of the Department of Research and Development at Slovak Radio and Television.
He has been a member of the juries at international film festivals in Slovakia and Poland.
