My name is Andrzej Przeździecki. I was born in 1962 in Warsaw. I graduated from high school in Warsaw, then I started studying German philology in Warsaw but in time I moved to Magdeburg (Padagogische
Hochschule). I studied in Hanover too.

For the frst time I experienced independent cinema at OKFA Independent Films festival in Konin, Poland.

For many years I have had a pleasure to meet with the most outstanding creators of independent cinema from Poland and Europe.

Then I have been working on the organisation UNICA festival in Warsaw and Gdańsk, Poland. For many years I was at this time a part of „Fenster zum Osten”, which is festival of independent flms in Berlin. There was its successor, "Nachbarn bei Freunden”, in which I was working too.

During these parties, festivals and conversations I have met people who use this kind of art to create better communication, understanding and connection between artists and public.

Representation of Polish independent cinema is the best honour for me. Living among people, who watch over the independent cinema, is challenging but also bringing hapiness. During almost my whole life I have been connected with independent cinema and I have strong experience in this kind of art.

Je m'appelle Andrzej Przeździecki. Je suis né à Varsovie en 1962. J'ai terminé mes études secondaires à Varsovie, puis j'ai commencé à étudier la langue et la littérature allemande à Varsovie. Mon chemin m'a conduit avec le temps à Magdebourg (à l'Université Pédagogique).  J'ai aussi étudié à Hanovre.

Pour la première fois, j'ai fait l'expérience du cinéma indépendant à l'OKFA Independent Films Festival à Konin, en Pologne.

Pendant de nombreuses années, j'ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer les plus grands créateurs de cinéma indépendant de Pologne et d'Europe.

Puis j'ai travaillé à l'organisation UNICA Festival à Varsovie et Gdańsk, Pologne. Pendant de nombreuses années, j'ai fait partie de "Fenster zum Osten", le festival du film indépendant à Berlin. J'ai aussi travaillé chez "Neighbours with friends".

Lors de ces rencontres, festivals et conversations, j'ai rencontré des gens qui utilisent ce genre d'art pour améliorer la communication, la compréhension et la connexion entre les artistes et le public.

La représentation du cinéma indépendant polonais est un grand honneur pour moi. Vivre et agir parmi des gens qui prêtent attention à la réalisation de films indépendants est épuisant, mais les rend heureux. J'ai été lié au cinéma indépendant pendant la plus grande partie de ma vie et j'ai une grande expérience dans ce genre d'art.

Mein Name ist Andrzej Przeździecki. Ich wurde 1962 in Warschau geboren. Ich habe das Gymnasium in Warschau abgeschlossen, dann habe ich in Warschau begonnen Germanistik zu studieren. Mein Weg führte mich mit der Zeit nach Magdeburg (in die Pädagogische Hochschule).  Ich habe auch in Hannover studiert.

Zum ersten Mal habe ich beim OKFA Independent Films Festival in Konin, Polen, das unabhängige Kino erlebt.

Während vieler Jahre hatte ich das Vergnügen, die großartigsten Schöpfer des Independent-Kinos zu treffen aus Polen und Europa.

Dann habe ich an der Organisation UNICA Festival in Warschau und Gdańsk, Polen gearbeitet. Für viele Jahre war ich zu dieser Zeit Teil von "Fenster zum Osten", dem Festival der Independent-Filme in Berlin. Ich habe auch bei "Nachbarn bei Freunden", gearbeitet.

Bei diesen Treffen,  Festivals und Gesprächen habe ich Menschen kennengelernt, die diese Art von Kunst nutzen, um Kommunikation, Verständnis und Verbindung zwischen Künstlern und Publikum zu verbessern.

Die Vertretung des polnischen Independent-Kinos ist für mich eine große Ehre. Leben und agieren können unter Menschen, die auf das unabhängige Filmschaffen achten, ist anstrengend, macht aber glücklich. Ich bin fast mein ganzes Leben lang mit dem unabhängigen Kino verbunden und ich habe große Erfahrung in dieser Art von Kunst.
