Where?

The film venue is the Zeche Zollern (Zollern Colliery) in Bövinghausen, a suburb of Dortmund. This is an industrial cathedral. It was the headquarters of an important company as well as a working coal mine. Now it is an industrial museum and culture centre.

Get togethers?

UNICA is about making friends so at the end of the official film programme cross the courtyard to the "Pferdestall" (Stable) - part of a restaurant chain which serves Westphalian specialties, international cuisine, coffee and drinks are offered late into the night.

Friends of UNICA?

UNICA's members are the national organisations for non-commercial film makers in each country. But the spirit of UNICA lies in the people who support it: many of them join this club of friends. whose fees help the work of UNICA. They have a lunch with talks and films each year.

World Minute Movie Cup?

WMMC is a fun event where films of up to 60 seconds long compete. A preselection jury choose 16, which then play off in a series of heats, where you - the audience - vote for which film goes forward to the next round.
