Brief personal details:

 

School, high school and first acting experience before the amateur camera and in the Theater an der Kantonsschule in the town of Zug.

Even as a child she had contact with film, because her father was a passionate amateur filmmaker.

While studying psychology and art history at the Universities of Zurich and Freiburg she was actively involved in student theatre as an actress and assistant director.

1976 Studied painting and art history at the Art Academy in Rome. Birth of two children Uris and Sarah.

1983 Diploma at the Art Academy Brera Milan in painting.

From 1985 to 1988 employee in the Villa Favorita Art Museum in Lugano.

From 1988 to 2011 Event Manager at the Tourist Board and the city of Lugano. Organising concerts, festivals and events of all kinds. 

From 1989 to 2014 board member of the Ticino Cantonal Art Association. Extensive experience as a curator in galleries and museum guide.

Since 2008, active member of the CIAC Lugano film and video club.

Since 2014 board member of the Lamone Film Club and a member of the board and juror for swiss.movie at the national Film Festival.

Since her teenage years, Pia has made numerous trips in Europe, North and South America and the Middle East and records her travel impressions in diaries, images and for ten years now in films.

Good language skills in German, French, English and Italian facilitate her communication with people of different cultures.

Since 2006 production of reportages and documentaries, avid writer and organiser of club films, actress in amateur movies.

Passionate visitor to professional and amateur film festivals and enthusiastic cinema-goer.
