Born in 1943, has studied successfully at the Vienna Technical University, an architect and project designer in the international building sector and urban development in Germany and the Middle East.
Member of VÖFA (Austrian Federation of Film makers).
Working with his wife Angelika Allin, he has created since 1980 several short films that were awarded prizes, has been the winner of the Austrian National championship (for non-professional film-making) in 1997, has participated and received numerous awards in national and international competitions such as UNICA, the Festival of Nations in Ebensee, the Danubiale in Krems, Austria, the Grand Prix at the International Video competition in Liechtenstein, the international Duisburg Film Festival, the Festival "A Window to the East" in Berlin, the FilmVideo Montecatini Terme event...
Acting as jury member or jury president in national and international competitions in Austria; in 2009 for the Unica Competition in Gdansk, Poland, and in 2013 in Fieberbrunn, Austria.
Also jury member for the BDFA Feature film festival in Schrobenhausen in 2014, FANTEX 2015 in Waiblingen, Germany and for the BAF Round Table in 2015 in Stein near Nuremberg.
In my opinion, the leading thread when assessing a film is evaluating how the film conveys important declarations and reflects the author's commitment while developing a humane theme with the right emotional tone.
Unfortunately Mr. Allin was called
home for a medical emergency and was unable to take part. His place on
the jury was filled by Jeanne Glass, UNICA Vice-President.
