Mgr. Anton Szomolányi (Slovakia)
Mgr. Anton Szomolányi ArtD. finished his studies at the Academy of music, film and television / FAMU / in Prague, where he studied the techniques of shooting television and Electronic film from 1983 to 1988.
Between 1985 - 1990 he worked for several companies:
Art Centrum Prague - where he cooperated on creating and
Multivisions AUDIOVISIONS
Slovak Television - external cameraman for documentary production
and fiction
Film Armed (Armádny movie) ZVPS - cameraman.
From 1990 to 1996 he worked as a freelance cameraman and cooperated with several productions: Slovak TV (STV), Kratky Film Praha (Prague Short Film), TV Titograd - Yugoslavia Art centrum Prague. In addition it was cooperating with the production of feature films abroad (Germany, Austria, France).
During this period he lectured at the Chair of Journalism at the Comenius University in Bratislava.
At the same time (1992 - 2001) was co-owner and director of the production company Tonigo Film and since 2001 he is the owner of the company Ideas Film sro
In 2006 he was admitted to the PhD at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (VSMU) in Bratislava with the title of doctor ArtD.
Since 1998 he has been a member of the Advisory Committee for amateur film at the National Centre of Culture where he cooperates as a member of the jury and reader national and international competitions, festivals and workshops.
His filmography includes documentaries for Slovak TV, and more than 80 commercials designed by highend technology as a producer, cameraman or scriptwriter. He organizes audiovisual and advertising production.
He created several adaptations, presentation CD-ROMs, and multimedia production programs.
As a photographer he has had several exhibitions of his works (Artfilm'98, Black, VoulezVous restaurant, My Paris2002 ...).
In 2007 he was a jury member and participated in the festival and the World amateur film Congress UNICA2007 in Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia.
Currently he works as a director and cameraman advertising by highend technology.

- 2008 he received the title "doctor" and holds the position of extraordinary professor at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica.
- 2009 professor at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava
- 2010 Dean, Chair of Film and Television Arts Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava
- 2008-2012 teaching courses at the Universities of Finland, Latvia, Czech Rep.
